Welcome to ICI 911

In Case of Impairment...

Impairment can mean many things...some people can be impaired simply because they are over tired. But all too often, someone is impaired because they may have had too much alcohol to drink or for any number of other reasons.

You know you should not drive while impaired, so what should you do if you're too impaired to drive? We recommend putting an ICI number in your telephone list of contacts. Similar to an ICE number (which means in case of emergency), your ICI numbers can be called if you are too impaired to drive.

If you ever find yourself in a situation where you or someone you are with is too impaired to drive or if you are uncomfortable or even fear for your safety, you or someone who is with you should call your ICI numbers.

Most people have a cell phone but this could also work if you keep your ICI numbers with your credit cards or license...Simply program your ICI number(s) to the number of a trusted friend or family member who will pick you up if you ever need a ride home.

It's really simple: in your contacts, put ICI and then the name of the person. For example, ICI - Mom, ICI - Uncle Chris, ICI - Steven. You can have as many as you want - we recommend at least 3. If you file them with ICI first, anyone who accesses your phone will be able to quickly find your listing of ICI numbers.

People who care about you would likely do anything to keep you safe. Program your cell phone and be sure to contact those people who would do anything for you to ensure you arrive home safely.

Make a difference, make a choice...make the call.
